Series 930
Motor spindles
Main features series 920
Our 930 series is a spindle concept that has been developed by our technicians and engineers from our customers‘ applications in line with the market. The spindle design has been revised and standardised on the basis of numerous special types to obtain market-driven prices. The latest findings from the fields of bearings, motor technology, clamping technology, lubrication, sealing, sensor systems and materials have been implemented in the 900 series through innovative product development and practical engineering.
The technology of the 930 series
Tool holder
The 930 series has HSK interfaces for the nominal sizes 63 – 160. The tools are held by a clamping set with integrated spring assembly. The release unit is either hydraulic or pneumatic. The clamping state is monitored by a sensor and recognizes 3 positions (released/clamped/clamped without tool). The spindle is positioned by an integrated shaft encoder to change the tool.
Bearing
High-precision bearings that are fitted with an initial tension are used as bearings. These have very good damping properties and a very good wear behaviour. The concentricity at the tool holder is <0.002mm. The smooth running of the spindles is achieved by a rigid construction and optimum balancing process.
Direction of rotation
The spindle can be operated in a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction.
Lubrication
Lifetime grease lubrication
Motor
The drive is provided by an adjustable induction motor. Drive outputs of between 20 and 120 kW are available. The spindle can be operated up to its maximum speed with a frequency converter. It is controlled by an integrated shaft encoder. The temperature is monitored by sensors in the motor winding.
Cooling
The motor is cooled by a separate integrated cooling circuit in the area of the motor winding.
Seals
The spindle is sealed by a tested labyrinth seal with active sealing air. This protects the spindle bearing against soiling. The spindles can be used in both a horizontal and vertical direction.
Special designs
Annular balancing systems, synchronous motors, customised tool holders and stainless steel models and much more can be realised on request.
